Drupal Installation Step By Step Tutorial - Part 1: Drupal is one of open source web content management framework. It's a highly modular, extensible, standard-compliat, strives for clean code, small footprint, and emphasis on collaboration. It is designed to be customized. We can modify by overriding the core or by adding modules (not modify core of code). In fact, Drupal can be used to build an internet portal, personal, departmental, or corporate web site, e commerce site, directory, newspaper, and so on.

Drupal have good development team and user community. You will get good support at their web site at http://drupal.org and http://groups.drupal.org. Online comunity of users, site administrators, designers, and web developer work hard to improve Drupal continually. We can learn from them how to build masive online community. In this series, we will know about Drupal and try to install it.

We can say drupal support cheap operational. Core of drupall have small file size. So, you can run well on inexpensive web hosting. Drupal is writen in PHP. All core Drupal code adheres to strict coding standards.
