Postnuke Introduction Step By Step Tutorial - Part 1: PostNuke is a very popular CMS at about 2002-2004 (in my memory). It's framework offer flexibility and use 'plug and play' system. I ever use PostNuke framework for one of my project about Human Resources System. Ok, in this post, we will talk how to install this cms.

  1. Download PostNuke package at www.postnuke.com. I use postnuke-0.764.tar.gz.
  2. Extract to your web server directory(example: www/).
  3. Rename folder to "postnuke" (for simple call).

  4. Open your browser. Point your browser to http://localhost/postnuke/html/install.php. You will get first page installation.
  5. Choose your language. click set language button.

  6. Next page you will get licence page. click next button.
  7. PostNuke check your system. Make sure system match with PostNuke requirement. Click Continue button.

  8. Next, enter your database information.
  9. Click Submit button.

  10. Click New Installation.
  11. Check Create the database.
  12. click Start Button.

  13. After success create database, click Continue button.
  14. Setup your admin login. Enter your password.
  15. Click Set Login.

  16. Click Finish button.
  17. Remove a file install.php within www/postnuke/html and a folder named install.

Now, point your browser to : http://localhost/postnuke/html/index.php
